The rules of conduct & Regulations.

When people get together, rules are needed to make sure we can all get along nicely.

Being a Seniors Clan member is one thing, but behaving like one is another. In this page you will find a list of rules Seniors Clan expects its members to follow. These rules are in no way meant to limit our members in any way, other than to protect the name of Seniors clan in the world, and make sure that we all play along nicely.

These rules apply to all members of Seniors Clan, regardless of their rank. Failure to comply will result in appropriate actions taken. So, if you happen to see a member misbehaving don't hesitate to report him or her to the Seniors Council.

This can be done on the forums or via report member violation.

Age is important ...

When you want to join Seniors Clan, you must be at least 25 years of age ...

This might seem a bit harsh to some, but we have our reasons. The average age of the clanmembers is far over 30 and to be honest, we live in a bit of a different world from the average teenager, or someone being in their early 20's. Beer and Girls are (for most of us) not a top priority and we don't care about the latest fashion or greatest hit. Instead of those, we care about or kids, work, mortgages and even death is not a stranger in our lives.

It's not all about the shiny clan-tag ...

In order to join, you must be willing to be an active member, on the forum, and off course on the virtual battlefield ...

|SNR| is all about friendship and having fun together. The only way this is possible, is when people actively join in the fun and be part of the action. There are various ways to get into the swing of things.

- Of course... In the virtual battlefield(s) / Servers
- On the website and Forum
- On our VOiP (Ventrilo/Teamspeak) servers
- Through the various messenging clients (MSN, XFire etc)

We realize that it can be a bit of an intimidating thing, to join an online-community like Seniors Clan, and we appreciate that it will take some tome to settle in, get to know the people that are already a member, and to get used to us.

However, membership just for the pretty Clan-Tags will not last long ...

Chipping in ...

As a member of | SNR | you will be expected to contribute towards the server(s), (e.g. rental of gameservers etc.)

A clan can't survive without the (technical) resources... The internet is our common ground and this medium is powered by servers. Seniors Clan tries to provide good resources, that will support the clan to the best ... However these resources cost money. If everybody chips in, the financial load on individuals is minimized...

In the end we're not gonna tell you what you must contribute as we cannot (and don't want to) look into your wallet. When money is needed for paying the bills, a money run will be held and everybody can contribute what they can spare. If it's enough to pay the bill everything is ok... if not .. we seize to exist.... simple as that.

Behave yourself ...

When wearing your | SNR | clan-tag, please be respectful and courteous to other people, both inside and outside the clan

When you are out there with your |SNR| Tags on, you represent not only yourself, but everybody in Seniors Clan and everything Seniors Clan stands for and has achieved over the last years. We try to uphold a high and friendly standard, and we don't take it lightly when our good records and standing with the community is smudged.

There can only be 1 clan ...

In being member of | SNR | , you are not allowed to be a part of any other gaming clan.

We live by the rule that there can be only 1 clan and it will be in nobody's interest if you're a part of 2 communities.. In the past we've allowed this, and eventually it will lead to a conflict of interest one way or the other.

Of course you will be allowed membership of other communities, as long as they don't operate on the same field Seniors Clan does.

Matchplay ...

We play to win, but ...

Everybody in Seniors clan can take part in clan-matches. We don't believe in 'elite' teams, or 'first come, first serve' ... When matches are on the calendar they will be communicated to the clan, and everybody interested can sign up to take part up until 24 hours before the match at hand. From the interested people, a team is picked, so that everybody gets a chance to play. Skill is not an issue ...

When we go out to play, we play to win, but since we not always field the best team(s) possible, we tend to loose more matches than we win ... If it's 'world domination' you seek in gaming, Seniors Clan is probably not the best place for you.

Also, matchplay is not possible without team communications .... We do allow for 'just listening in' when not playing matches but without voice there can not be any proper matchplay.

We do realize there can be circumstances where it's not possible for you to be able to have a banter or chat on VOiP and we're not making a big issue out of it, but please do realize the consequence.
